What this test involves
- You fly three aircraft at the same time.
- CA-A (red): fly through its four gates in ALPHABETICAL order (A, B, C, D). A gate taken out of turn is docked.
- CA-N (yellow): fly through its four gates in NUMERICAL order (1, 2, 3, 4), same rule.
- Green: intercept the single white unknown. Be within 2 nm of it and 1 000 ft of its altitude.
- Select with Tab or by clicking. Type the figure, then Left or Right: the turn is RELATIVE to the aircraft’s own nose, not to the screen.
- Keep aircraft out of the red danger zones, and 5 nm or 3 000 ft apart from each other.
How to prepare for the Dynamic Projection Test
- Stack your aircraft at very different altitudes (e.g. 10 000 / 6 000 / match-the-enemy). They then auto-separate and you can ignore lateral spacing.
- To intercept, aim ahead of the enemy where you predict a collision, not straight at it, or you end up in a stern chase.
- Commands take real time to play out, a 90° turn runs for about five seconds. Give one aircraft its turn, then spend that time setting up the next.
